IBPS RRB CRP XV Recruitment 2026 Notification Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has announced the recruitment notification for Participating Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) all across India. Vacancies for Office Assistants (Multipurpose), Office Scale-I, Officer Scale-II and Officer Scale-III Posts – 13,715. The eligible graduates and the candidates with the appropriate expert qualifications and experience can send their applications online from 01 September 2026 to 21 September 2026.

         Office Assistants and Officer Scale-I candidates will be appearing for Preliminary and Main Examinations while Officer Scale-II and Scale-III candidates will be appearing for Single Online Examination followed by Interview.

Candidates should note that if they apply for Office Assistant as well as an Officer post, separate applications and applicable fees are required. A candidate can apply for only one post in the Officer cadre.

For Officer Scale-III, the date of birth should be between 02.09.1986 and 01.09.2005.

The notification contains separate conditions for Ex-Servicemen, disabled Ex-Servicemen and eligible women candidates. Candidates claiming relaxation must produce the prescribed supporting certificates at the relevant stage.

Educational Qualification

Office Assistant (Multipurpose)

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent.

In addition:

  • Proficiency in the local language prescribed by the participating RRB is essential.
  • Working knowledge of computers is desirable.

For Tamil Nadu Grama Bank, the prescribed local language is Tamil.

Officer Scale-I – Assistant Manager

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent.

Preference will be given to candidates having degrees in areas such as:

Relevant banking or finance-related qualifications may receive preference.

Experience: Minimum 2 years as an Officer in a Bank or Financial Institution.

Officer Scale-II – Information Technology Officer

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University in:

  • Electronics
  • Communication
  • Computer Science
  • Information Technology

or an equivalent qualification with minimum 50% marks.

Knowledge/certification in ASP, PHP, C++, Java, VB, VC, OCP etc. is desirable.

Experience: 1 year in the relevant field.

Officer Scale-II – Chartered Accountant

Candidates must possess the required Chartered Accountant qualification from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

Experience: 1 year as a Chartered Accountant.

Officer Scale-II – Law Officer

Candidates must have a Degree in Law or equivalent qualification with minimum 50% marks.

Experience: At least 2 years as an Advocate or as a Law Officer in a Bank/Financial Institution.

Officer Scale-II – Treasury Manager

Candidates should possess either:

  • Chartered Accountant qualification, or
  • MBA in Finance from a recognized University/Institution.

Experience: 1 year in the relevant field.

Officer Scale-II – Marketing Officer

Candidates should have an MBA in Marketing from a recognized University.

Experience: 1 year in the relevant field.

Officer Scale-II – Agricultural Officer

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following:

Preference may be given to candidates with qualifications in Banking, Finance, Marketing, Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, IT, Management, Law, Economics and Accountancy.

Experience: Minimum 5 years as an Officer in a Bank or Financial Institution.

Important Educational Qualification Conditions

The result of the qualifying examination must have been declared on or before 21 September 2026.

Candidates who have CGPA/OGPA instead of percentage must convert their grades into percentage according to their university/institution’s prescribed conversion method.

For percentage calculation, the notification states that the total marks obtained across all subjects and semesters/years are considered against the aggregate maximum marks. A fraction in the calculated percentage is ignored.

Local Language Requirement

Local language proficiency is particularly important for Office Assistant and Officer Scale-I applicants.

For Tamil Nadu Grama Bank, the local language is Tamil. Candidates who have studied the respective State language in Standard VIII or above in a Government-recognized school/board, or possess an appropriate certificate, are considered proficient.

Candidates who do not meet the language requirement at selection may be provided a period of six months from joining to acquire the required proficiency, subject to the conditions prescribed by the RRB.

IBPS RRB CRP XV Selection Process

The selection process depends on the post.

Office Assistant

Preliminary Examination → Main Examination → Provisional Allotment

Candidates who qualify in the Preliminary Examination and are shortlisted will appear for the Main Examination. Final provisional allotment will be based on Main Examination marks and actual vacancies reported by the concerned RRB.

Officer Scale-I

Preliminary Examination → Main Examination → Common Interview → Provisional Allotment

Candidates qualifying in the Preliminary Examination will be shortlisted for the Main Examination. Candidates shortlisted from the Main Examination will subsequently be called for the Common Interview.

Officer Scale-II & Scale-III

Single Online Examination → Common Interview → Provisional Allotment

There is no Preliminary Examination for Officer Scale-II and Scale-III. Candidates appear directly for the Single Online Examination, followed by Interview for shortlisted candidates.

The notification allows IBPS to modify the examination structure or duration if required, with changes communicated through the official website.

Negative Marking

There is negative marking in the Preliminary, Main and Single Online Examinations.

For every wrong answer, one-fourth (0.25) of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted.

There is no penalty for an unanswered question.

Cut-Off and Merit

Candidates must meet the minimum score requirement in each applicable test.

For Office Assistants, Main Examination marks are considered for final merit listing.

For Officer Scale-I, Main Examination marks are used for Interview shortlisting and final merit.

For Officer Scale-II and Scale-III, Single Examination marks are used for Interview shortlisting and final merit.

If multiple examination sessions are conducted, corrected scores are normalized using the equi-percentile method.

Interview

Interview is applicable only to:

  • Officer Scale-I
  • Officer Scale-II
  • Officer Scale-III

Candidates shortlisted from the relevant online examination will be called for a Common Interview coordinated by the Nodal Regional Rural Banks with assistance from NABARD and IBPS.

The Interview will be conducted at selected centres, and the exact date, time and venue will be communicated through the Interview Call Letter.

Salary Details

The CRP RRB XV notification primarily sets out the recruitment process, eligibility and examination details rather than providing a single consolidated salary table for all participating RRBs.

The applicable pay and allowances are governed by the service conditions of the respective Regional Rural Bank.

For reference, the current commonly cited basic-pay structure for Office Assistant begins at approximately ₹24,050, while Officer Scale-I begins at approximately ₹48,480; actual gross and take-home salary can vary according to applicable allowances, posting location and RRB service rules.

IBPS specifically advises candidates to use the Save and Next option to verify their details before final submission. Once the application is finally submitted, changes may not be permitted except through the prescribed edit facility.

Important Application Rules

A candidate can apply for both:

  • Office Assistant, and
  • one Officer post.

However, only one Officer post can be selected among Scale-I, Scale-II and Scale-III.

Applications for multiple Officer posts will be rejected.

For Office Assistant and Officer Scale-I, candidates have to select the State/UT for provisional allotment. The choice once exercised is generally irrevocable.

Examination Centre

The examination will be conducted online at various centres across India.

IBPS may add or cancel centres depending on administrative feasibility and the number of candidates. A candidate may also be allotted a centre different from the one selected during application.

Requests for changing the examination centre will not normally be entertained.

Important Instructions for Examination

Candidates should take the examination instructions seriously.

For Preliminary Examination candidates must carry the required call letter and valid photo ID.

The authenticated/stamped Preliminary Examination call letter and ID copy must be retained because candidates shortlisted for the Main Examination will be required to produce them along with the Main Examination call letter.

Candidates must also carry an additional photograph matching the photograph pasted on the call letter.

Provisional Allotment

Provisional allotment is not the same as a final unconditional appointment.

After completion of the applicable examination and Interview, candidates may be provisionally allotted to participating RRBs based on:

  • Merit
  • Candidate preference
  • Reservation guidelines
  • Actual vacancies
  • Administrative requirements

The vacancies published in the notification are indicative. The actual vacancies reported by RRBs will be used for provisional allotment.

Once provisional allotment is made, requests for changing the allotted RRB will not normally be accepted. Appointment, joining and document verification are ultimately handled by the allotted RRB.
