Eligibility Criteria for Central Bank of India Recruitment 2026

Candidates must fulfil the required eligibility criteria before applying online. The eligibility cut-off date is 31 May 2026.

Nationality

A candidate must be one of the following:

Indian citizen, subject of Nepal or Bhutan, Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1 January 1962, or a person of Indian origin who migrated from eligible countries with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Candidates from categories other than Indian citizens may need a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.

Age Limit

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have a Graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.

Candidates must have completed graduation on or after 1 January 2022. They should also be able to produce mark sheets and degree or provisional certificates whenever required by the bank.

NATS Registration Required

Candidates must be registered on the NATS portal before applying. Only candidates registered on the NATS portal are eligible to apply for this apprenticeship opportunity.

Central Bank Apprentice Stipend 2026

Selected apprentices will receive a stipend of ₹15,000 per month during the engagement period of one year. No other allowances or benefits will be provided.

The training period will be 12 months. During training, apprentices will learn about banking practices, banking products and banking processes.

Selection Process

The selection process for Central Bank of India Recruitment 2026 includes:

Local Language Test

Candidates applying for a particular state must be able to read, write, speak and understand one of the specified local or official languages of that state.

The local language test will be conducted after the online examination. Candidates who fail to qualify the local language test may not be selected as apprentices.

However, candidates who have studied the specified local language in Class 10 or Class 12 may not be required to appear for the language test, if they produce the required mark sheet.

Final Selection

Final selection will depend on:

Meeting the cut-off marks in the online examination, qualifying the local language test, successful document verification and being medically fit as per the bank’s requirements.

If two or more candidates score the same marks in the merit list, the older candidate may be ranked higher.
