Educational Qualification

Tradesman:
Essential:

1. I.T.I Trade Certificate in Mechanic/Diesel/Fitter/Turner/Welder/Electrician/Instrumental/Carpentry

2. X/10th Std pass or equivalent

3. 2 years experience in Engineering/Automobile/Ship Repair organization

Desirable:

1. Experience in FRP Lamination and repair work (Fiber Reinforced Plastic)

2. First aid / Fire Fighting / Industrial Safety Course

Seaman:
Essential:

1. X/10th Std pass or equivalent

2. Three years experience in sea going mechanized vessel with two years in helmsman and seamanship work

Desirable:

1. Certificate of competency as “member of fishing vessel” from Marine Mercantile Department

Greaser:
Essential:

1. X/10th Std pass or equivalent

2. Three years experience in sea going mechanized vessel on main and auxiliary machinery maintenance

Desirable:

1. Certificate of competency as “Engine Driver of fishing vessel” issued by Marine Mercantile Department

Age Limit (As on 30.04.2026)

Relaxation of Upper Age Limit:

• +5 Years for ST/SC

• +3 Years for OBC (NCL)
