TNTET Notification 2025: The Tamil Nadu Teachers Recruitment Board (TN TRB) has invited applications from eligible candidates in the State of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry for Teacher Eligibility Test (TNTET) Paper-I and Paper-II. The aim of this examination is to decide the eligibility of candidates for primary and upper-primary level teaching at schools in the state. Applications are invited through ONLINE MODE only from the Official website of Teachers Recruitment Board at https://trb.tn.nic.in.

           The deadline to apply is 5:00 PM on 08.09.2025, and NO late submissions will be allowed Paper-I is for teaching classes I–V & Paper-II is for Classes VI–VIII Before applying, read the eligibility criterion, syllabus & instructions carefully. The TNTET is an essential qualification for teaching posts in Tamil Nadu government schools, clearing it sets career prospects higher in the education field.

TNTET Paper 1 Exams 2025 Qualification Details.

• Higher Secondary (+2) with 50% marks and passed/appearing in 2-year D.El.Ed.

• Higher Secondary (+2) with 45% marks and passed/appearing in 2-year D.El.Ed. as per NCTE 2002 norms.

• Higher Secondary (+2) with 50% marks and passed/appearing in 4-year B.El.Ed.

• Higher Secondary (+2) with 50% marks and passed/appearing in 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
  
  (D.Ed. Special Education holders must complete a 6-month NCTE program after appointment.)

TNTET Paper 2 Exams 2025 Qualification Details.

TNTET Paper-II (Classes VI–VIII)

• Graduation and passed/appearing in 2-year D.El.Ed.

• Graduation with 50% marks and passed/appearing in B.Ed.

• Graduation with 45% marks and passed/appearing in B.Ed. (as per NCTE norms).

• Higher Secondary (+2) with 50% marks and passed/appearing in 4-year B.El.Ed. or B.A./B.Sc. Ed.
