Educational Qualification

Eligibility (a) or (b):
(a)

Master’s Degree in the relevant / allied subject with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade).

Must have cleared NET/ SLET/ SET, or hold a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with UGC Regulations 2009 / 2016.

5% relaxation for SC/ST/MBC/BC/BCM/DNC and PwD candidates.

Ph.D. Degree holders who obtained Master’s before 19.09.1991 – eligible with 50%.
(b)

Ph.D. Degree obtained from a foreign university ranked within Top 500 (QS / THE / ARWU).
For Special Recruitment (Presidency College):
Additional qualification in teaching Hearing Impaired students —

Senior Diploma in Teaching the Deaf (HI) or Special B.Ed. (HI) approved by RCI.
👩🏫 Teaching Experience

Valid teaching experience in Government / Aided / Private Colleges with UGC-approved qualifications will be given weightage marks (2 marks per academic year, max 15 marks).
