NPCIL MAPS Apprentice Recruitment 2026: Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited has released a new apprentice recruitment notification for Madras Atomic Power Station, Kalpakkam. The recruitment is for Trade Apprentice, Diploma Apprentice and Graduate Apprentice posts under the Apprentices Act, 1961.

Stipend Details

Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend during the apprenticeship training.

Age Limit

The age limit will be calculated as on 30 June 2026.

Relaxation in upper age limit is applicable as per Government of India rules. SC/ST candidates get 5 years relaxation, OBC-NCL candidates get 3 years relaxation and PwBD candidates get 10 years relaxation.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have full-time or regular educational qualifications.

  • For Trade Apprentice posts, candidates should have an ITI pass certificate in the relevant trade.
  • For Diploma Apprentice posts, candidates should have a diploma in the relevant engineering or technology discipline.
  • For Graduate Apprentice posts, candidates should have a graduate degree in a non-engineering or general stream such as BA, B.Sc., B.Com. or equivalent.

Selection Process

The selection will be based on marks obtained in the relevant ITI, Diploma or Graduation course. Preference will be given to candidates from neighbouring villages within a 16 km radius of the Madras Atomic Power Station plant site.

In case of a tie in marks, the older candidate will be considered first. If the date of birth is also the same, the candidate with higher marks in Matriculation will be placed higher in the merit list.

How to Apply for NPCIL MAPS Apprentice Recruitment 2026?

Eligible candidates must first register on the relevant apprenticeship portal.

Trade Apprentice candidates should register on the NAPS 2.0 portal at apprenticeshipindia.gov.in.

Diploma and Graduate Apprentice candidates should register on the NATS 2.0 portal at nats.education.gov.in.

After registration, candidates must download the application form from the NPCIL website under HR Management / Opportunities. The filled application form, along with self-attested documents, should be sent by post to:

Important Points for Candidates

Candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing apprenticeship training are not eligible to apply. Selected apprentices will undergo training for a maximum period of one year. Completion of apprenticeship training does not guarantee employment in NPCIL.

Women candidates are encouraged to apply, as NPCIL has stated that it aims to maintain gender balance in its workforce.
