IOB Apprentice Recruitment 2026: Indian Overseas Bank has thrown open a big opportunity for graduates this year, inviting online applications for 750 apprentice vacancies under the Apprentices Act, 1961, for FY 2026-27. If you’ve got a degree from a recognized university and you’re within the age bracket, this could be a solid way to get your foot in the door with a leading public sector bank headquartered in Chennai.

Applications open on 07.07.2026 and close on 20.07.2026, and you’ll need to apply through the BFSI Sector Skill Council’s portal — not directly on the bank’s website. There’s a written exam involved, and depending on where you’re from, you might also need to clear a local language test. Since this is an apprenticeship and not a regular job, it’s worth reading the fine print before applying.
