ESIC Tamilnadu Recruitment 2026: Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), Regional Office, Chennai, has released an official notification for empanelment of Advocates for ESIC in the Tamil Nadu Region. Educational Qualification

Candidates applying for ESIC Advocate Empanelment must satisfy the following requirements:

Experience

For empanelment before the High Courts in Tamil Nadu and CAT Chennai Bench, applicants should have a minimum of 10 years of professional experience.

For district-level courts and other forums, applicants should have a minimum of 5 years of professional experience.

Applicants should also be well versed in the Code on Social Security, 2020, labour law, Civil and Criminal Procedure and other relevant Acts and Codes applicable to their practice.

The notification states that the proposed empanelment numbers are tentative. Applying for a particular location does not give an applicant a right to claim empanelment at that location.

Selection Process

The ESIC Advocate Empanelment process includes:

  1. Application scrutiny
  2. Shortlisting
  3. Interaction / Interview, if required
  4. Final empanelment

ESIC may shortlist applicants based on the number of applications received and its requirements. Shortlisted advocates may be called for further interaction or interview before final empanelment. Mere fulfilment of eligibility conditions does not guarantee a call for interaction or selection.

No TA/DA will be admissible for attending the interaction.

Salary / Professional Fee Details

This is not a regular monthly salary-based government job.

The fees payable to empanelled advocates will be governed by the ESIC fee schedule notified through Office Memorandum dated 25.03.2026. ESIC specifically states that no retainer fee will be paid merely because an advocate has been empanelled.

Cases may generally be allocated on a rotation basis, depending on the discretion of the Competent Authority. Cases may also be assigned based on the nature of the case, performance or specialisation of the advocate.

Tenure of Empanelment

The Advocate panel will ordinarily be constituted for a period of three years.

However, ESIC may terminate an advocate’s empanelment before completion of the tenure if the advocate does not comply with the prescribed terms and conditions.

Disqualification

An advocate may be considered ineligible for empanelment if:

  • Disciplinary proceedings are pending before the Bar Council
  • An adverse Bar Council order affects professional conduct
  • A criminal case involving moral turpitude is pending

  • Material facts have been suppressed
  • False information has been submitted
  • There is an actual or potential conflict of interest with ESIC
  • Previous performance with ESIC is found unsatisfactory

 

How to Apply ESIC Tamilnadu Recruitment 2026?

Eligible advocates must apply only in the prescribed ESIC format.

Fresh Applicants

Fresh applicants who are not currently on the ESIC panel should use Annexure-B.

Existing Panel Advocates

Existing ESIC panel advocates should use Annexure-C. Existing panel advocates are also required to apply afresh because the existing panel will cease to exist when the new panel is constituted.

Important Conditions for Selected Advocates

Empanelled advocates are required to personally handle cases assigned to them and should not delegate cases. They may need to coordinate with ESIC officials and designated Senior Advocates where applicable.

The advocate must attend entrusted cases promptly, appear on every hearing date and ensure that ESIC matters do not go unattended. Hearing and status reports must also be submitted to ESIC after hearings.

Empanelled advocates must maintain strict confidentiality regarding ESIC cases and must not disclose case information to third parties or the media.
