The Central Institute of Classical Tamil (CICT), Chennai has released the official notification for CICT Recruitment 2026 to fill 06 Associate Professor posts through Direct Recruitment on a regular basis. The vacancies are available in the faculties of Linguistics, School of Languages & Language Education, Art & Architecture, Manuscriptology, Translation, and Lexicography. Candidates possessing a Ph.D. in the relevant discipline, Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks, eight years of teaching/research experience, seven research publications, and the prescribed UGC research score are eligible to apply.

               Interested and eligible candidates can submit the prescribed offline application along with the required documents and application fee within 60 days from the publication of the advertisement. Associate Professor (School of Languages & Language Education) Ph.D. in Languages, Comparative Literature or Language Education. Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks, 8 years of teaching/research experience, 7 research publications, Research Score of 75, and experience in Classical Tamil research.
Associate Professor (Art & Architecture) Ph.D. in Art or Architecture with Master’s Degree (55% marks), minimum 8 years teaching/research experience, 7 research publications, and Research Score of 75.
Associate Professor (Manuscriptology) Ph.D. in Manuscriptology, Master’s Degree with 55% marks, 8 years teaching/research experience, 7 research publications, and Research Score of 75.
Associate Professor (Translation) Ph.D. in Translation Studies, Master’s Degree in Tamil with 55% marks, minimum 8 years teaching/research experience, 7 publications, and Research Score of 75.
