Selection Process
The IBPS PO Recruitment 2026 selection process consists of four stages: Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, Personality Test, and Interview. Preliminary Examination

Main Examination
Candidates shortlisted from the Preliminary Examination will appear for the Main Examination. This stage evaluates candidates on Reasoning, Computer Aptitude, General/Economy/Banking/Digital & Financial Awareness, English Language, Data Analysis & Interpretation, and a Descriptive Test. Marks obtained in the Main Examination are considered for preparing the final merit list.
Personality Test
Candidates qualifying in the Main Examination will undergo a Personality Test conducted by IBPS. The test evaluates behavioural competencies, communication skills, leadership qualities, and overall personality traits. The Personality Test carries 100 marks, and candidates must obtain the prescribed qualifying marks to become eligible for the Interview.
Personal Interview
Candidates who qualify in the Personality Test will be called for the Personal Interview conducted by Participating Banks in coordination with IBPS. The Interview assesses banking knowledge, problem-solving ability, communication skills, confidence, and suitability for the role of Probationary Officer.
Final Merit List
