India Post GDS Application Correction 2026 Open: The India Post has opened the correction window for GDS Recruitment 2026 Schedule-I January cycle. Candidates can edit their submitted Gramin Dak Sevak application from February 18, 2026 to February 19, 2026 up to 5:00 PM.

This window is short. After the deadline, the system will not allow any changes.

The recruitment aims to fill 28,636 GDS posts across postal circles in India. Only candidates who completed one-time registration and submitted the online form within the last date can use this edit option.

Who Can Use the Correction Window?

You can edit your form only if:

  • You completed one-time registration

  • You submitted the GDS application form

  • You paid the fee, if required

If you submitted more than one form, the system may reject duplicate entries. You must edit the same application already submitted. Once you resubmit during the correction period, the updated form replaces the old version. The merit list will use the final saved details.

What You Can Edit in the GDS Form

During the correction period, the portal may allow changes in:

  • Name as per Class 10 certificate

  • Date of birth

  • Category and sub-category

  • Disability status, if applicable

  • Class 10 marks or percentage

  • Address details

  • Local language option

  • Post, division, and circle preferences

Check the live form after login. Only editable fields will appear open for changes.

What You Cannot Edit

Some details remain locked after submission. These usually include:

  • Registered mobile number

  • Email ID

  • Registration number

  • Certain identity details

Locked fields will appear disabled on the screen.

How to Edit India Post GDS Application Correction 2026?

Follow these steps:

  1. Visit the official GDS portal at indiapost.gov.in

  2. Click on Candidate Login

  3. Enter your registration number and verify using OTP or password

  4. Open the Edit or Correction option

  5. Update the allowed fields

  6. Check that all entries match your documents

  7. Submit the revised application

  8. Download and print the updated form

If a change affects the application fee, pay the extra amount online as shown on the portal.
